どんな対策が必要なのか、回答します。
まず、当然のことですが出版社によって中身がまったく違ってきます。
その内容が公開されていないことも多いです。
SPI
書店で売っている対策本を一冊やれば、十分です。
ただ、出版社の人たちはいい大学を出ている人が多いです。
つまり、試験の点数が悪い人は認められません。
筆記試験と面接を総合して合否は判断されますが、いくら面接がよくてもSPIの点数が悪いと嫌われてしまいます。
対策本をもれなくやっておきましょう。
一般常識
一般常識は、常に「新聞」を読んでいれば大丈夫です。
あえて「新聞」と書きましたが、アプリの「SmartNews」やYahoo！ニュースを読んでいるだけでは、試験対策になりません。
新聞ほど網羅的でなく、興味のある内容に偏って読んでしまうからです。
それに、試験を作っている出版社の人は、新聞を読んでいます。
社会的、政治的な事柄も知っておくようにしましょう。
例えば、時の大臣の名前なども覚えておく必要があります。
特に、週刊誌を出しているような出版社では、それぐらい知らないの？ と試験で足きりされてしまうので、問題を起こしたり失言をしてしまった政治家などは必須です。
マークシートではなく、手書きの試験の場合もあります。
実際に大手の出版社の転職試験は、いまも手書きです。
つまり、政治家の名前をうろ覚えではいけないのです。
これは、作家の名前についても同じです。

出版社で働いている人間でも、一年前の芥川賞の作家などはすぐに忘れてしまいます。
ですが、試験では出るのです。
業界的に大きなニュースも覚えておく必要があります。
近年ですと、取次の倒産や合併がありました。
「新潮45」も杉田水脈の記事により廃刊となりました。
どれだけ出版業界に興味があるのか？ と問われているのです。
