プロ漫画家のあつまりといえば、
新漫画党が有名です。
トキワ荘のメンバーが中心でした。
寺田ヒロオ、藤子不二雄のふたり、石ノ森章太郎、
赤塚不二夫さんらです。
「東京児童漫画会」という、プロ漫画家の集団がありました。
メンバーについてはっきりとわかっていません。
手塚治虫さんにくわえ、寺田ヒロオさんも
入っていたと思われる記述が、
「ボクのまんが記」（朝日新聞出版）にあります。
「東京児童漫画会」のメンバーは、
島田啓三さんを会長に、馬場のぼるさん、福井英一さん、
古沢日出夫さん、山根一二三さん、太田じろうさん、
入江しげるさん、根岸こみちさん、手塚治虫さんらです。
同書ではこう書かれています。
「二どめに上京したとき、
鶴書房の専務が、きたならしい集会所へ
つれていってくれました。」
「そこには島田啓三さんはじめ
いわくありげなまんが家が二十人ほど
あつまって会をやっていました。」
いわくありげとはどういうことでしょうか笑
この時が、東京児童漫画会のスタートでした。
「島田啓三さんがたちあがって、
『この場で、東京児童漫画会を発足いたします』
といいましたので、
ボクはうれしくなって、
パチパチと手をたたいてしまいました。」
島田啓三さんは、戦前に「少年倶楽部」（大日本雄弁会講談社）で
「冒険ダン吉」を連載していた大御所です。
当時の手塚治虫さんにとっては、
雲の上の存在だったでしょう。
東京児童漫画会は、豊島園でまんが劇をやったという
記述もあります。
時期は分かりませんが、
会は50名規模の大所帯になっていました。
「ボクはまんが家」に、寺田ヒロオさんについても
一度だけでてきます。
「漫画集団（おとなのまんが家のグループ）に対抗して、
毎年ごうせいな忘年会をひらいていました。
あるときは、入江しげる、荻原賢次、寺田ヒロオさんが
高島田のかつらをかぶっておどりました。」
寺田ヒロオさんが忘年会に参加していたのです。
あのテラさんが芸をやるとは、
晩年の姿からは考えられません。
トキワ荘でも一歩引いた立ち位置で、
藤子不二雄さんらをみていたイメージがあるからです。
新漫画党の結党は1954（昭和29）年です。
この忘年会の時期はわかりませんが、
東京児童漫画会の発足は1950（昭和25）といわれています。
寺田ヒロオさんが新潟から上京したのは
1953（昭和28）年です。
トキワ荘への入居は同年の大晦日ですので、
忘年会は1953年かもしれません。
